VE Commercial Vehicles, a Volvo Group and Eicher Motors joint venture, has releases the sales results for the month of January 2019. The company has recorded sales of 5,906 units in January 2019 as compared to 6801 units in January 2018, registering a decline of 13.2 per cent.

Tata Motors has released its monthly sales report for January 2019, during which the company witnessed a drop of 8 per cent in total sales, domestic and exports combined.

Mahindra and Mahindra, the leading utility vehicle manufacturer, has released its monthly sale report for January 2019, and last month the company registered a total growth of 7 per cent.

In all, Royal Enfield posted sales of 72,701 motorcycles in January 2019, with sales growth in the same month declining by 7 per cent.

During the ongoing financial year, the company has registered a cumulative growth of 5.7 per cent, selling 153,058 units during Apr'18 - Jan'19, against 144,802 units in the corresponding period last year.

In all, Hero MotoCorp sold nearly 18 lakh two-wheelers in the third quarter of the current financial year (October to December, 2018).

Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 139,440 units of passenger cars in India in January 2019 as compared to 139,189 units sold in January 2018.

Maruti's total profit went down by 17.2 per cent, compared to the company's performance over the same period of the previous year. The company's profit after tax in the same quarter previous fiscal year stood at Rs 1,799 crore.
