BMW Motorrad Achieves 8th All-Time Sales High Globally In 2018
BMW Motorrad registered a growth of 0.9 per cent in premium two-wheeler sales globally with 165,566 vehicles sold at the end of December 2018, as opposed to 164,153 units delivered to customers the previous year. The manufacturer registered significant growth in several key markets across the world including India, while established markets like Europe and USA continued to be the growth drivers for the company's motorcycle business. Helping the company build volumes were the made-in-India BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS motorcycles as one of the top five selling models. The manufacturer now is aiming to achieve a sales target of 200,000 units in the year 2020.
Honda Cars India To Hike Prices By Upto Rs. 10,000 From February 2019

Honda Cars India today announced a price increase on all its models, which will be effective from February 1, 2019. The company had already increased prices of its cars in January 2019 by up to 4 per cent and the coming month will see its cars getting costlier. The price increase on the CR-V will be Rs. 10,000 and on other models upto Rs. 7,000 depending on the variant.
Honda Amaze Sales Cross 63,000 Mark In India

2018 was a mixed bag for carmakers in India as there were several roadblocks which the industry body didn't see coming. Mercedes-Benz India has been the largest luxury automaker in India for the last few years now and has set a new record for luxury car sales in India at 15,538 units in 2018. The automaker had a fair few launches in 2018, in both the luxury segment with the facelifted Mercedes-Benz C-Class and in the performance segment with the likes of the Mercedes-AMG E63s sedan and the iconic Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV. This is the highest ever sales figure for Mercedes-Benz India and is the second year in succession with sales topping the 15,000 unit mark. 2018 was also the 4th year that Mercedes-Benz India beat out its closest rivals BMW and Audi to retain the number 1 spot amongst luxury automakers in India.
