The fifth round of the 2016 FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) was held in Malaysia last weekend and Gaurav Gill was at his dominant best sealing the driver's championship title. The ace Indian driver sealed his fifth consecutive win for the season and secured the APRC drivers' championship one round early. Gill's victory has also helped team MRF Skoda claim the manufacturers' championship title with one round still to spare this season.

MotoGP continues to be at its unpredictable best this year, as Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda)stormed towards the chequered flag in the Australian Grand Prix at Philip Island. The Brit marked his second win this year, and did so with Valentino Rossi finishing second and Maverick Vinales nagging the third position on the podium. It was not the best of outings for Aditya Patel at the Taiwan round of the Audi R8 LMS Cup held last weekend at the Penbay International circuit in Taiwan. He got off to a slow start during the practice session for the first race but picked up the pace during qualifying, only to falter again in the super pole lap. He ended up being on the 8th position on the grid for the start of the first race of the weekend.
