It has been 34 years since TVS made its foray into motorsport. The Bengaluru-based manufacturer has always promoted and developed two-wheeler motorsport in India. So when it announced its decision to partner with French manufacturer Sherco in order to participate in the Dakar Rally, it hardly came as a surprise. The upcoming Dakar Rally is all the more special for the Sherco TVS team as it will mark the first time for the team to field an Indian rider in Aravind KP.

Mahindra Racing had a dominant start to Formula E this season in Hong Kong and the recently concluded Marrakech ePrix was no different. Formula One team Force India expected the exit of driver Nico Hulkenberg for the 2017 season and the driver the now headed to the vacated seat at Renault. Partnering Sergio Perez for next season is 20-year old Esteban Ocon. Volkswagen Group has announced its exit from the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) at the end of the current season. The team had won all four championships ever since they participated in the sport as a full time manufacturer team in 2013 The automaker will instead focus on developing the Polo R5 car for customer use, VW said in a statement.
