Switching from his Repsol Honda bike to a F1 car, four-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez got behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car for the first time at the Red Bull Ring earlier this week. The Repsol Honda rider, who currently leads the championship, completed 43 laps onboard the Red Bull Torro-Rosso RB8 F1 car, before handing it over to current teammate Dani Pedrosa.

The Repsol Honda team has been second home to Pedrosa with an 18 year partnership, across three classes in MotoGP. The rider has been instrumental in the development of the team and the motorcycles over the years. However, with Pedrosa failing to deliver the numbers over the past races, the top bosses at Honda decided it was beneficial for the team to look elsewhere.
