TVS ADV
What's New?
The upcoming TVS ADV will be the brand's new adventure-based motorcycle. TVS has been competing in motocross events for a long time and also manufacturing off-road bikes that are sold in the international markets for several years now. TVS hasn't revealed anything about the new ADV, but going by TVS' inclination to motorsports we expect the motorcycle to have design cues from off-road machines while being an adventure-based motorcycle predominantly.
According to reports, the ADV will come equipped with a 312 cc single-cylinder engine borrowed from the Apache RR 310 that develops 34 bhp of max power and 27.3 Nm of torque. The 4-stroke liquid-cooled mill will be coupled with a 6-speed transmission. The multi-plate clutch will be slipper clutch assisted. Braking will be done by disc brakes on both wheels with switchable dual-channel ABS. The front wheel is expected to have a single 310 mm petal disc brake, while its rear wheel will have a 240 mm petal disc brake.
We expect TVS to officially unveil the motorcycle sometime in the third-quarter of 2023. In terms of pricing, expect the adventure bike to be priced in the ballpark of Rs 2.6 lakh to 2.8 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the TVS ADV will compete with the KTM 250 Adventure and soon-to-be-launched Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in the adventure touring segment.
