The 2018 Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix saw Sebastian Vettel retake the lead in the championship with a win; but barring the Hartley-Stroll crash, it was a fairly predictable race. However, the one blunder that has got everyone talking about the Canadian GP was its earlier than expected finish, quite literally. The chequered flag was out a lap earlier than scheduled, ending the race in 69 laps instead of 70.

Formula E made its way to Zurich this weekend for the first time and Audi Abt Schaffler driver Lucas di Grassi took his first win of the season at the end of the Zurich ePrix. The Audi driver claimed the victory ahead of DS Virgin Racing's Sam Bird, while 2018/19 season leader Jean Eric-Vergne and pole-sitter Mitch Evans were hit by controversial penalties that pushed them at the bottom of the top 10 finishers. Meanwhile, Mahindra Racing's Nick Heidfeld showed some impressive pace today finishing sixth, while teammate Felix Rosenqvist crashed, taking another DNF this season.

Pole-sitter Sebastian Vettel took a remarkable win in the 2018 Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix, taking the championship lead once again from Lewis Hamilton. The German driver dominated the race right from the start and cruised to victory with a gap of 6.4s over Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas, while Red Bull's Max Verstappen finished third in what would be his most mature performance so far.
