Renault India's upcoming subcompact SUV, codenamed HBC, was recently spotted testing in India again. This time around, the prototype model was seen wearing temporary Maharashtra number plates and appears to be undergoing testing on the old Mumbai-Pune highway.

The soon-to-be-launched new-generation Mahindra Thar was recently spotted again, and this time around it was the diesel automatic variant of the SUV. This is the first confirmed sighting of the automatic version of the new Thar, and despite the heavy camouflage, the off-road SUV appears to be ready for production.

Both models will be powered by 2.0-litre, four-cylinder BS6 petrol and diesel engines and an AMG line variant is also expected to be on the cards.

The upcoming Kia Sonet subcompact SUV has been spotted testing on the Indian roads as the Indian government has eased the lockdown restrictions. The production-ready version of the Sonet SUV was captured on camera by DCV bikes while testing in Haryana. The test mule can be seen heavily camouflaged concealing the details, however, the overall boxy silhouette, sharply raked window-line and dual-tone alloy wheels revealed its identity. The carmaker is expected to launch the Sonet subcompact SUV in India during the festive season.

Skoda Auto India recently launched multiple new products in the Indian market, which includes Rapid 1.0 TSI, Skoda Superb, and the Karoq SUV. Now, the Czech carmaker seems to be preparing to launch another product in the country. The Skoda Kamiq SUV has been captured on camera while testing on the Indian roads. The company is expected to launch the Skoda Kamiq SUV by early next year. The spy shot gives a clear glimpse of the rear profile of the SUV as the test mule was spotted with any camouflage.

The Hector Plus will be offered with captain seats in the middle row. A third row has also been added and it will have a 6 or 7 seater layout.

Mahindra today announced that it will be launching two new SUVs codenamed - W601 and Z101 - in the next Financial Year (FY) 2021-22. As we already know, the former is the next generation Mahindra XUV500, while Z101 is the codename for the new-gen Scorpio SUV.
