A spy photo of the upcoming BMW M4 sedan has leaked online, ahead of its official debut, which is expected to happen later in September this year. It was just earlier this month, on June 2, that the Bavarian carmaker pulled the wraps off the new generation BMW 4 Series, and now we finally know what the performance-spec version will look like as well.

Electrified vehicles are the future and there is no denying that. Almost every global automaker is working on building their electric fleet, and in India too we have carmakers like Mahindra and Tata Motors who already have strong models in this segment. So, on this World Environment Day, we list out some of the highly anticipated electric cars that are slated to be launched in India by the end of 2021.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLS will be offered in two new body colours and will be equipped with the latest MBUX infotainment system along with updated driver assist features.

The company has already committed to a goal of featuring some form of electric propulsion in its models from 2019 onwards and now India too is part of this plan. Every new Volvo from 2019 onwards will be electrified.

The next-generation Lexus IS sedan has been officially teased ahead of its global debut on June 9, 2020. The sedan in its current form has been on sale since 2013 and will see an overhaul when it arrives in a new avatar later this year. Interestingly, Lexus managed to keep the new-generation IS well-hidden from the prying eyes and the teaser image reveals little, barring the rather flamboyant taillights that extend to either end. The new Lexus IS takes on the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4 and the likes.

The Maserati Ghibli Hybrid will be manufactured at the Modena plant where the company is significantly upgrading the production line and is investing 800 Million Euros in a new production line.

The new Hyundai Santa Fe has been thoroughly updated being underpinned by a new platform while it's a huge departure in terms of design as well over its predecessor.

Volkswagen has lifted the wraps off the Nivus coupe SUV for the Latin American markets. The new offering will go on sale in Brazil later this year, but will make it to European markets at a later stage. The new Volkswagen Nivus coupe SUV is part of the brand's new line-up of SUVWs, as the company likes to call it, and is based on the MQB A0 platform that is a derivative of the MQB platform that underpins the larger offerings in the Volkswagen Group. The Nivus shares its underpinnings with the Brazilian-spec new-gen Polo and Virtus (Polo sedan). The new Nivus will be positioned below the Volkswagen T-Cross in the positioned below the T-Cross in the company's line-up.
