Highlights

  • Bajaj is expected to launch Pulsar 250 range on October 28
  • The Bajaj Pulsar 250 will arrive in naked & semi-faired versions
  • A Bajaj Avenger 250 could also join the line-up in the future

Bajaj Auto is all set to introduce the next generation Pulsar in the country, and the bike maker has confirmed that the model will arrive on October 28, 2021. The Bajaj Pulsar traces its origins to 2001 when the first models rolled out of the factory and the bike has gone on to hold a cult status in the Indian motorcycling scene as a sports commuter. The new generation model is expected to be the new flagship motorcycle coming to life and is likely to be the Bajaj Pulsar 250 that has been spotted testing on several occasions.

Bajaj Auto is likely to bring the semi-faired and naked versions of the Bajaj Pulsar 250 range together. The semi-faired version is all the more important as the model is expected to replace the ageing yet volumes-friendly Pulsar 220F that has been in the brand's stable for well over a decade now. You can expect a completely new motorcycle right from the chassis, engine, suspension and ore. It will also be priced competitively that has always been Bajaj's forte, keeping the Pulsar brand accessible to the masses. The Bajaj Pulsar 250 range will have ample competition when it arrives right from the Suzuki Gixxer 250 twins to the Yamaha FZ25.

Previous spy shots promise a semi-fairing and new engine, and possibly a new chassis too. The model could replace the Pulsar 220F in the current line-up.

Speculations also suggest of a Bajaj Avenger 250 also arriving in the future as a replacement to the Avenger 220. The Avenger continues to be a dependable seller for the manufacturer, and the new motor would promise more power, improved torque, as well as better refinement and efficiency over the current model. The model is expected to get an evolutionary upgrade without straying too far from the existing version. That being said, we are yet to see a test mule of the same.

The upgrades on the Bajaj Pulsar 250 range could make their way to other Pulsar motorcycles at different displacements in the future. It will be interesting to see how big of a change the new flagship really will be. Keep watching this space for all the action on October 28, 2021.
