Formula 1 has released the draft calendar for the 2019 FIA F1 World Championship. The 2019 calendar will see the team's contest in 21 Grand Prix races, equalling to that held in 2016 and 2018. Off the 21 races, 11 races will be held in Europe, followed by five in Asia and four in the Americas. The opening race, as always will be held in Australia, the only race for the continent. The calendar will be submitted for the approval to the FIA World Motorsport Council meeting on October 12 this year.

Mumbai's Venkatesh Shetty defended his title in the JK Tyre Monsoon Scooter Rally for the second year in a row astride his Aprilia SR 150 Race, specially prepped for the rally.

Sebastian Vettel took a dominant win in the 2018 Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix beating Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton. The first race post the summer break though kick-started with a massive crash on the opening lap. Vettel took the lead in the opening lap from pole-sitter Hamilton on the Kemmel straight and retained the pace until the end of the 44 lap race. Finishing third on the podium was Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen after starting in the fourth row, while Valtteri Bottas made a stellar recovery to fourth after starting at the back of the grid. Stars of qualifying, Force India's Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon finished at P5 and P6 respectively.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton will be starting on pole tomorrow at the 2018 Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix, ahead of Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel. However, it was the newly formed Racing Point Force India that was the true star of the qualifying session in the first race of the season after the summer break at Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Esteban Ocon will start at P3 in a big push for the new team, followed by teammate Sergio Perez qualifying at P4. Taking his fifth pole of the season, Hamilton surpassed Juan Manuel Fangio and Ayrton Sennas qualifying records at the historic Belgian circuit.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary of its first Le Mans win, with the Ford GT40, Gulf has joined with Ford to produce the new Ford GT '68 Heritage edition for the 2019 and 2020 model years.

Torro Rosso's Pierre Gasly has been confirmed as the replacement driver at Red Bull Racing for Daniel Ricciardo in the 2019 Formula 1 season.

Leading the points table, Dhruv Mohite took his first win of the weekend in Round 3 of the 2018 Volkswagen Ameo Cup at the Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT) in Chennai. The Kolhapur-based driver started the race on pole position and maintained his lead throughout the eight lap race.

Ahead of the first race later today, points leader Dhruv Mohite will be starting the weekend on pole having set the fastest lap time of 1m54.959s on Friday. Joining him on the first row will be Thane's Saurav Bandyopadhyay, while Pratik Sonawane of Pune will be starting third.
