Ather Energy says that the company will come up with almost 100 charging stations, or Ather Grids, as it likes to call them, by the end of 2020. The electric scooter maker says that it will be its biggest jump so far.

Electric Two-wheeler start-up, Ather Energy has put its international sales plan on hold for now, due to the current COVID-19 crisis. The company believes it will be a better use of energy to expand in India in a holistic way.

Speaking at the 60th Annual Convention of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) today, Prakash Javadekar, Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, said that the government's new battery policy could help boost demand for electric vehicles in India.

Electric two-wheeler start-up Ather Energy targets sales of one million units in the next five years, and scaling up operations across 100 cities.

The government has passes a tender of ,2500 electric buses and is trying to procure maximum units from Indian electric bus manufacturers.

American SUV marque, Jeep has officially unveiled the plug-in hybrid version of its iconic off-road SUV, Wrangler. It will be called the Jeep Wrangler 4xe and it joins the fast-growing list of electrified cars from the company, which currently includes Jeep Grand Commander PHEV, Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe models.

Ather Energy will begin deliveries of its electric scooters in Delhi-NCR November 2020 onwards. The focus of the company will be on expansion in India and Ather is poised for the same, with production beginning at its new plant from December 2020.

EESL will procure the Tata Nexon at Rs. 14.86 lakh each, Rs. 13,000 cheaper than its ex-showroom price of Rs. 14.99 lakh.
