Yezdi Roadking
What's New?
Yezdi, after making a highly anticipated comeback in the Indian two-wheeler market with three new motorcycles, has plans to reintroduce the classic Roadking model. According to company officials, the upcoming Roadking will serve as the flagship offering for the brand and will not be based on the existing Yezdi motorcycles.
The new Roadking is expected to draw significant design inspiration from the original model while incorporating modern elements and features. These include all-LED lighting, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charger, a semi-digital instrument cluster, multi-mode ABS, and navigation.
While there is no official confirmation yet, there is speculation that the new Yezdi Roadking might be equipped with the same engine as the BSA Gold Star. This liquid-cooled 652cc single-cylinder engine boasts an output of 45.6 bhp and an impressive torque of 55 Nm. It is paired with a five-speed gearbox featuring a slipper clutch.
Considering the brand's current focus on the three newly launched bikes, it is expected that the Roadking will make its debut sometime in late 2023 or early next year. If the bike does get the 650cc engine, the Roadking will likely compete against the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
