2017 could well change the face of the Indian motorcycling industry with a complete line-up of performance bike launches in the offing. And it's not only the superbike and premium motorcycle space which will see action, but quite a few entry-level performance bikes as well.

Recent images have emerged of the 2017 Pulsar NS 200 at a private dealer meet in Turkey revealing changes on the updated model. The model will be making a comeback to the Indian market by mid-January next year and is likely to sport a similar paint scheme as well.

Yamaha India is expected to launch a new entry-level performance motorcycle on January 24, 2017. The new Yamaha motorcycle, believed to be a 250cc bike, has been spotted testing in India recently, and this is the bike likely to be launched. We have already received a 'Block your Date' invite from Yamaha for a press conference on January 24, promising to "unveil a new chapter".

Kawasaki is one of the very few manufacturers who have officially launched off-road ready dirt bikes in India. The Kawasaki KX100 and the KX250F were recently launched across the country at a price of Rs. 4.68 lakh and Rs. 7.14 lakh respectively. The prices are ex-showroom, Delhi and are exempt from road and registration taxes as they are not road-legal. Therefore, riding these dirt bikes will be restricted to off-road trails and tracks only.

Triumph Motorcycles will be launching an all-new Triumph Street Triple on January 10, 2017, a teaser video posted by Triumph Motorcycles has revealed. Although the video doesn't specifically mention the upcoming bike as the 2017 Triumph Street Triple, the bike in the teaser video has the tell-tale headlights like the ones on the current Street Triple and Speed Triple.
