Bajaj Auto to Launch 3 New Bikes in India in 2016

Bajaj Auto today revealed that it will be launching 3 new bikes in 2016. Bajaj's current line-up is spread across three verticals - Entry, Executive and Sports, and the company has planned something special for each vertical.

    After enjoying an eventful 2015 with 8 new launches in the Indian market, two-wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto today revealed that it will be launching 3 new bikes in 2016. Bajaj's current line-up is spread across three verticals - Entry, Executive and Sports, and the company has planned something special for each vertical. The company will also be revealing its future plan and launches for the 2016-17 fiscal in coming months.

    Mr. Eric Vas, President, Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Auto revealed this information while announcing the company's recent achievement of leadership position in entry level and sports motorcycle segment. With combined sales in both the segments, Bajaj was able to achieve a total market share of 53 per cent compared to other manufacturers, bagging the top spot.

    Talking about their new milestone, Mr. Vas said, "In a challenging environment for the automobile industry, Bajaj Auto maintained positive momentum as a result of a well-crafted strategy - Superior Customer Value through differentiated products and strong brand. By the introduction of new products such as the CT100 and the new Platina, we have strengthened our position in the entry level segment. In the sports segment we enhanced our leadership position through the launch of the Pulsar RS 200, Pulsar AS 200 & 150 and the exciting Avenger Cruise 220 and Avenger Street 220 & 150."

    According to the information revealed by Mr. Vas, the executive segment will see an all-new product in the Indian market, which will be catering to the matured group among Bajaj's target audience. Next the company will introduce a new product in the sports segment, most likely the new Pulsar CS 400 or the RS 400. Finally Mr. Vas revealed that Bajaj is planning something special for the entry level motorcycle segment as well, possibly a power version of the CT100.

    Sharing his views on the rumour of a more true blue adventure bike, likely on the AS 200's platform, Mr. Vas did not deny its possibility and said that the bike could be a part of Bajaj's Indian line-up in future.
