The green Hyundai Santro package will only be available on the manual Asta variant, which will also have dual airbags as standard along with ABS and EBD. Apart from all the above additions, the green version of the Hyundai Santro will get an all-black interior with all the trims on the dashboard and the door panels finished in good plastics dressed in black.

Having showcased it at the Auto Expo 2018 earlier in the year, Mahindra & Mahindra has officially revealed the launch details on its upcoming flagship SUV. Codenamed Mahindra Y400, the SsangYong G4 Rexton based SUV will be launched in India on November 19, 2018, and is all set to compete against the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and the likes in the segment. The SUV will be positioned above the XUV500 in Mahindra's stable and is expected to be leaps ahead of the previous offerings from the company.

Tata Motors has been revealing details about the upcoming Harrier compact SUV for some days and carandbike can now exclusively confirm that the company will start accepting the bookings for it on 15 October 2018. The Tata Harrier is one of the most hotly anticipated launches in the passenger car market. S N Barman, Vice President, Sales & Network, Passenger Vehicle Division, Tata Motors has confirmed the news to carandbike saying, -We will start accepting bookings for the all-new Harrier for an amount of Rs. 30,000.- Further sharing details about the pricing and deliveries, Barman added, -We are evaluating an introductory price for the Harrier when we will launch the SUV in January 2019 and we are also planning to start the deliveries within a month of the launch.-

Maruti Suzuki Flags Off Electric Vehicles For Field Testing In India

Following up with its announcement to introduce electric vehicles in India by 2020, Maruti Suzuki flagged off electric vehicles for field testing in India. The 50 prototype electric vehicles have been developed by Suzuki Motor Corporation in Japan, while the cars have been built at Maruti Suzuki's Gurugram facility in Haryana, as part of the company's make in India commitment. The electric vehicles were flagged off from the Gurugram facility by Maruti Suzuki - Senior Executive Director (Engineering), CV Raman. The prototype electric vehicles have been developed on an existing model by Suzuki Japan, the company said in a statement.

Honda is all set to launch the new generation of the CR-V SUV in India on October 9, 2018 and the car had has its fair share of success in the country.
