Life would have been so much easier there would be a Robocop along to assist us in our daily tasks. Well! That always had been an unreasonable childhood fantasy, however, one such thing now seems possible if automakers could pursuit the idea which Evan Kirstel shared in his tweet captioning it - "Well this is handy". And indeed it is, specially for an easy-going (read: laid-back) person like me who wouldn't mind a robot to fill his car's boot for him.

World's largest manufacturer of two-wheelers, Hero MotoCorp has set up its new research and development (R&D) centre - Hero Tech Center Germany GmbH. The new facility is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hero MotoCorp and is located in Stephanskirchen near Munich. The new German R&D centre will be working on collaboration with Hero's Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Hero Tech Center Germany will be under the direct supervision of Dr. Markus Braunsperger, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Hero MotoCorp and will be the epicentre for the company's motorsport activities.

MG Motor India has appointed tech giant Adobe to chart out its entire customer journey from initial expression of interest to purchase. With a focus on digital media for MG, the mandate encompasses a gamut of Adobe Experience Cloud products, making MG among the first automobile brands in India to adopt the entire suite of Adobe's digital marketing products.

The 1,500 kg bus can accommodate up to 15 people and can be used inside closed campuses. The on-road version will come later.

Hyundai Motor Group has recently announced the introduction of the world's first 'Multi-Collison Airbag' system. Developed to improve the airbags performance in multi-collision accidents, the system allows the airbags to deploy effectively upon a secondary impact by calibrating the status of the vehicle and the occupants.

Shuji Nakamura, a Japanese scientist, has been working on laser lights for automobiles over the last 5 years. His company, SLD, is working on a new light design which is 10 times brighter than LEDs and more cost and energy efficient than them too.
