According to the data shared by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), compared to the 17,40,649 vehicles sold during the same month in 2023, the auto industry saw a growth of 26.74 per cent YoY. 

While Nissan's domestic sales went down by 8 per cent at 2,404 units, the exports saw a marginal 1 per cent growth at 639 units.

Royal Enfield sold a total of 81,870 units in April 2024, which is 12 per cent more than 73,136 units sold in April 2023.

TVS Motor Company sold a total of 383,615 units in April 2024, which is a 25 per cent increase on 308,224 units sold in April last year.

In April 2024, MG Motor India sold 4,485 vehicles, and EV accounted for 34% of the company's total retail sales.

Data shared by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the total vehicle sales between April 2023 and March 2024 stood at 2,38,53,463, a growth of 12.5 per cent, compared to 2,12,04,846 units sold during the same period in FY 2023.

Between April 2023 and March 2024, the EV industry collectively sold 90,996 electric cars in the country, a 91.37 per cent growth compared to 47,551 electric vehicles in FY2023.

With total sales of 9,47,087 units, the market share of electric two-wheelers grew from 4.5 per cent in FY2023 to 5.4 per cent in FY2024.
