Volkswagen India has added two new special edition models to its line-up - the Polo Select and Vento Celeste.

Italian specialty marque Mazzanti Automobili has finally uncovered the final version of the extreme version of the Evantra and this one will make its public debut between June 8 and 12 at the 2016 Salone Auto Torino in Italy. The company calls it the most powerful street-legal hypercar ever built in Italy

Keeping up with the growing competition, Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2016 Alto 800 facelift in the country with prices starting at Rs. 2.49 lakh for the STD trim, going up to Rs. 3.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the range-topping LXI CNG (O) trim. The updated model was spotted completely undisguised a few days ago and gets minor cosmetic and mechanical changes compared to the outgoing model.

Mercedes-Benz India has officially launched the 2017 GLS SUV facelift in the country with prices starting at Rs. 80.4 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Essentially a replacement to the GL-Class, the GLS moniker comes courtesy of the German auto giant's new nomenclature bringing the flagship in-line with the brand's flagship sedan - the S-Class.

Mercedes-Benz India today launched its flagship SUV, GLS, in India at Rs. 80.4 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). Essentially a facelifted version of the GL-Class, the new GLS follows the company's new nomenclature and is touted to be the S-Class of SUVs. As part of Mercedes-Benz India's 12 launches for 2016, Mercedes-Benz GLS will compete with the latest Audi Q7 and Volvo XC-90. As of now the company has only launched the GLS 350d which is already under production at the company's Chakan plan.

Ford India today launched a new 'Black Edition' of its popular sub-compact SUV - EcoSport. Priced from Rs. 8.58 Lakh for the Trend+ variant, the top-of-the-line Titanium+ variant goes up to Rs. 9.93 Lakh (All ex-showroom, Delhi).

It gets the same 1.5-litre diesel mHawk100 engine as in the NuvoSport but it will be available only on the top end variant - T8. What Mahindra has also done, is made the T8 AMT variant available with this engine as well. The more powerful variant of the TUV300 is priced at Rs. 8.87 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai)
