Nico Rosberg set the fastest time at the FP1 session of the Russian Grand Prix at the Sochi circuit. On a new circuit, Rosberg set a best time of 1:42.311 to beat team-mate Lewis Hamilton by just 0.065s.

Hyundai has begun testing their new i20 WRC car. Though the rally car is based on the 2015 i20, it is longer, wider and lower than its predecessor. That said, it also gets new stuff, including the engine and the transmission.

Nico Rosberg's retirement from Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix was caused by a freak contamination of his steering column electronics by a substance used by Mercedes in their pre-event servicing, the team said on Friday.

Lewis Hamilton set the fastest time of FP2 for the Singapore Grand Prix as Fernando Alonso kept Ferrari near the top. Hamilton set a 1:47.490 to beat Alonso by 0.133s. Nico Rosberg aborted the start of his flying lap and could only end the session in 12th place.
F1: FIA Confirms 2015 F1 Calendar

The FIA has confirmed the 2015 F1 calendar following a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council. The 2015 season will see some additions and the tally of races set has gone up to 20. The addition of the Mexican Grand Prix has boosted the number of races compared to this season.

Nicolas Prost claimed pole position for the first ever Beijing ePrix. The driver for e.dams-Renault was ahead of both Audi Sport ABT drivers, Lucas di Grassi and Daniel Abt. The Frenchman posted a 1.42.200s which put him a tenth of a second clear of Lucas di Grassi.

After a great FP3 session, it was Lewis Hamilton who took pole position at the Italian Grand Prix with team-mate Nico Rosberg set to start alongside him at Monza. Mercedes locked the front grid and for many this could have been easily predicted.
