Hero Electric and Sun Mobility would create an ecosystem where the customer has access to the latest battery technologies throughout the product lifecycle without incurring repetitive costs of purchase.

Travelling on the road does not just mean taking the vehicle and storming out the proper documentation should be ready along the trip at all times.

The first electric vehicle under the Vida brand will be launched on July 1, 2022, and despatches to customers will begin later in 2022.

With the additional battery pack, the Simple One will be priced at Rs. 1.45 lakh. Without the extra battery, the Simple One will continue to cost Rs. 1.10 lakh.

The companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and commercial agreement for setting up battery sharing services. It also marks the global debut of Honda's battery sharing service business.

The Hero Electric Eddy will be priced at Rs. 72,000 (Ex-showroom) will be launched in the coming months and will be offered in two colour options.

Automakers and chips manufacturers have warned that supply shortages could last until at least 2023.
