Toyota Motor Corp unveiled a completely redesigned hydrogen-powered fuel cell sedan on Friday in its latest attempt to revive demand for the niche technology that it hopes will become mainstream.

Kinetic Green Energy has announced the launch of a new electric vehicle 'Kinetic Safar Star' for the last mile deliveries and marked its entry into the mid-speed vehicle segment. Priced at Rs. 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune), the Kinetic Safar Star qualifies for the incentive offered by Government of India under Fame 2 owing, including the cost of the lithium-ion battery.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Resources RK Singh has approved the revised set of guidelines with regard to electric vehicle charging in India. The Union Minister said that the revised guidelines will address the concerns of EV owners and are aimed to encourage developing an ecosystem for charging EVs in a phased manner.
