Gurugram Police Adds 10 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 Motorcycles To Their Squad
The Gurugram Police has inducted 10 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 motorcycles, as part of their squad for patrolling. Suzuki Motorcycle India handed over the bikes to the Gurugram Police as part of their road safety CSR initiative and will be used to maintain good governance in the city, according to the company. The motorcycles were presented by Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India to IPS Mohammed Akil, Commissioner of Police, Gurugram in a ceremony held at Commissioner's office at Sohna Road, Gurugram.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced the new Gixxer 250 in the country priced at Rs. lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Suzuki Gixxer 250 is the recently launched Gixxer SF 250's naked sibling and was confirmed to go on sale in India earlier this year. The naked quarter-litre is about Rs. 11,000 cheaper than the full-faired version and boasts of a muscular styling that we first saw on the updated Suzuki Gixxer 155 that went on sale recently. The Suzuki Gixxer 250 enters a highly competitive space and will take on the likes of the Yamaha FZ25, KTM 250 Duke and the Bajaj Dominar 400.

The bike comes with a new racing blue paint scheme with Team Suzuki Ecstar decals and pinstripes on the wheel, all of which are inspired from the race-spec 2019 Suzuki GSX-RR that competes in the premier class championship.

Making its debut alongside its new older sibling, Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced the 2019 Gixxer SF in the country. The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF is priced at Rs. 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom) and brings comprehensive upgrades to the 155 cc motorcycle. This is the first major update to the bike in its total production run and includes cosmetic changes and new features on offer. The mechanicals though remain the same on the motorcycle. The 2019 Gixxer SF is also likely to make way for an updated Gixxer street-fighter for MY2019 and is likely to hit the market later in the year.

The fourth edition of the Suzuki Gixxer Cup has been announced and the one-make motorcycle racing series will be kick-starting next month. The Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS is being offered in two variants - Carbureted, that is priced at Rs. 95,499 and Fuel Injected (FI) that is available at Rs. 99,312 (all-prices, ex-showroom Delhi).

Suzuki will soon launch the ABS version of the Gixxer SF in India. This was confirmed by leaked brochure of the Gixxer SF ABS and also a couple of calls to Suzuki dealers. The on-road price of the Gixxer SF ABS has been kept at Rs. 1.10 lakh for the carburetted version and Rs. 1.13 lakh for the fuel-injected version.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) has announced the export of its most successful motorcycle in India, the made in India Suzuki Gixxer to Japan. This is SMIPL's first India-built motorcycle that will be sold in Suzuki Motor Corporation's home market. According to a release from Suzuki Motorcycle India, the first consignment of made in India Gixxer motorcycles has already left India for Japan.
