I Love My Himalayan
By Allen @ Sep 27, 2024 11:52 AM
been riding my Royal Enfield Himalayan for 8 years, and after completing 25,000 km, I can confidently say I absolutely love this bike. From the very first ride, the Himalayan has given me a sense of adventure, and it has never let me down, no matter the terrain. The engine performance is robust, and it feels just as powerful today as it did when I first got it. Whether I’m cruising on highways or tackling rough off-road trails, the suspension absorbs everything, making long journeys incredibly comfortable. What I love most is the build quality—it's rugged and durable, designed to handle all sorts of terrain. Over the years, the bike has seen its fair share of dirt, rocks, and even water crossings, but it’s held up remarkably well. The seating comfort is excellent for long rides, and even after hours on the road, I don’t feel tired. The bike’s high ground clearance has made it a breeze to tackle obstacles. Maintenance has been straightforward, and while it’s not the most fuel-efficient bike, the joy of riding it makes that a minor issue. It’s the perfect bike for anyone who loves the thrill of adventure, and after 25,000 km, I can confidently say I wouldn’t trade my Himalayan for anything else. It’s been an incredibly reliable companion on my journeys.

Perfect for adventure lovers
By Aashish @ Sep 28, 2024 03:32 PM
M riding the Royal Enfield Himalayan for about a year, and it’s great for off-road adventures. The engine performance and suspension handle rough terrains well, but the bike feels heavy in city traffic. The fuel efficiency is lower than expected for long trips, and the maintenance cost is on the higher side. The comfort on long rides is excellent, but the bike could benefit from more modern features. It’s perfect for adventure lovers but a bit bulky for everyday use.

Himalayan long term review ,after 2 years
By Aditya Khatavkar @ Jan 01, 2020 03:53 PM
I owned RE Himalayan in September 2016 bs3 version, although there are so many quality issues and other issues are there in bs 3 version, but I did not faced any issues regrading quality and other things like electronic , oil leakage, etc. I rode it around 22000 km and Himalayan gave me pure riding experience and also the service center facility is better now.Just I want to say one thing to RE , that it should have some more power around 28 to 30 bhp just for good Highway cruising.

Personal user experience
By Joshit @ Dec 20, 2019 06:07 AM
I've been using the Himalayan since one year , the power , comfort and satisfaction when riding is very good but when coming to the service and company's attention to the customer service is very poor . There's always unavailability of spare parts , accesories in the dealerships . They always have a answer that the bike has no demand in that particular region that's the reason why they don't have the parts or spares . The service is very poor and they don't know how to handle a customer . Poor accountability .Poor service . I still have the regret that I've chose Himalayan to Dominar

Only Waste of money
By Ansu @ Jun 26, 2024 08:57 PM
All the RE bikes having same problem. As all the RE bikes having weight of 199 kg, so the torque/power the engine generate, 50% of it is being used to carry it's own weight. This is the reason why always mechanical failure occurs in RE bikes. Indicator quality of himalayan is so bad, at high speed only it breaks down. After travelling 20k km the sound of engine is as if it has run 70-80 k km. Every 10 k km u need to change ur rear tyre and every 20 k km front tyre. In 22k km run I have changed fuel pump 02 times and it costs of 8000 each time. So costly. RE engineers have to think about to reduce its weight by 20%. Other bikes gives same power in 310 cc engine.

Not Satisfactory
By Kaushik Basu @ Jun 02, 2020 11:51 PM
Spare parts is always unavailable, service engineers are not up to the mark. There is manufacturing defect with ball racer in handle till vs 5. Oil service is very poor. I found defected chassis with my bike under warranty period but till not replaced.

Dont Buy Himalayan and waste money !! No Top speed , Low Milage and Proper service from Royal Enfield
By Gokul @ Jan 01, 2020 10:57 PM
My RE Himalayan's mileage is 12kmpl and max speed is around 100km/h .Don't buy as there is no power or milage max speed is 95-100km/h, above 95km/h the vehicle gets too much vibration which we cant handle . Problems of bike is the following 1.Low Mileage 12kmpl 2 .Top Speed90-100km/h 3..Air vent in the petrol tank had problem,so during rain every time water gets into the tank From the first service i have been reporting this to the RE showroom staff & each time they would say by next service it will be OK . No mileage or NO Top speed also no proper service . I gave complaints and the reply was "just take to showroom you have purchased" . So as they i took to the RE Showroom service and i told the problems but they did nothing . Also they wont write down every problems we say to list down in the service chart, they just write 3 or 4 things and say Why should you buy a bike giving 100km/h max speed with 12kmpl mileage costing near 2 lakhs .

Very bad service
By Eldhose Johnson @ Jan 02, 2020 01:29 AM
I have experienced a very bad service from Royal Enfield showroom Bengaluru .. After service they told us to take a test drive and come after 10 days..after a drive we understood the service was not done properly..the service cost is ?40500...there was as issue with handle and they changed parts which do not have any type of damage..so after when we took the vehicle to the showroom several times and then they told they don’t have any time to look after it and do the service in kerala...And also the insurance amount is not yet reflected..its been one and half month..they don’t have any responsibility towards it..they do not make any call back or nothing.. it was horrible... The insurance company is NEW INDIA ASSURANCE
