Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce the all-new Tata Tigor very soon. The Tigor started life as the Tata Kite 5 at the 2016 Auto Expo and is the company's third subcompact sedan after the Indigo eCS and the Zest. However, while the previous two models haven't been volume spinners, the Tigor is expected bring in the volumes for the carmaker. As we get near to the launch date of Tata's smallest sedan, here is everything you need to know about the all-new Tata Tigor.

The Duster first drove in to India in 2012. Since then Renault has brought us the AWD variant, introduced a touchscreen nav option, launched a major facelift in 2016 and also the Duster AMT automatic variant. And now the automatic story will go further with a refined and advanced CVT joining the pack in a few weeks' time.

Tata expects a similar response to the Nexon and considering the path taken by the company, it isn't a far-fetched idea.

Tata Tigor, the long awaited subcompact sedan from the home-grown automaker is all set to be launched in India on 29th of March 2017. Essentially a sedan version of the company's top-selling hatchback, Tata Tiago, the company calls the Tigor a Styleback and it will be positioned below the Tata Zest.

One of the bestselling nameplates in the Indian automotive market, the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire always gets our attention. We were the first to tell you this last year, and now we can confirm to you that the new Swift Dzire will come to us before the hatch, and arrive this year. Sources within the company have confirmed this news to us. The next generation subcompact sedan is all but ready for launch, and we have seen it testing in and around Maruti's plants in December 2016 and January this year.

The Swift is one of Suzuki's most popular nameplates globally and of course it's been much loved in India too. The fact that Maruti Suzuki has been able to sell over 1.5 million units of the car in India stands testimony to that statement. India has already seen two generations of the Swift and the third made its global premiere in Japan last year.
