Electric KTM 390 Duke Spotted Testing
The lure of electric mobility is so strong that even performance motorcycle manufacturers are seriously considering going the electric way. Recently, a KTM Duke prototype with an electric motor was spotted testing in Europe. The prototype was based on the popular KTM 390 Duke, but the previous generation model and not the 2017 model.

The Porsche patent says that the lower rear part of the car will have a retractable concave flap which can be electrically extended at higher speeds to generate downforce. In the patent, Porsche explains that a movable rear diffuser will have more advantages as compared to a fixed diffuser which is currently in use on a lot of Porsche models.

After Ashok Leyland announcing that it will make use of Intelligent Exhaust Gas Recirculation technology, Tata Motors has also geared up to use Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) in its range of commercial vehicles. The small-to-medium CV range with an engine output of up to 180 bhp, adopted the use of EGR way back in 2010. Tata Motors also started using the SCR technology in its emission systems for medium and heavy CV range from 2014.

The second largest CV manufacturer in India, Ashok Leyland, showcased its indigenously developed Intelligent Exhaust Gas Recirculation (iERG) technology at its annual global conference in Chennai. Along with the new technology, the company also displayed its entire range of future ready products which will make use of the iERG technology. As of now, it is just Ashok Leyland who has this technology in its armament, amongst the CV manufacturers in India.
