Tata Kite Hatchback Teased; Launch in December 2015

One of these segments will be the entry-level hatchback segment, where Maruti Suzuki India and Hyundai currently rule the roost. Yes, it has the Indica eV2 in this segment but when compared to its rivals, it's outdated in technology, looks and engine options. The only choice left for Tata Motors then is to bring in something fresh and this is where the replacement comes in - Kite.
The company recently unearthed their brand ambassador as Lionel Messi and now in a promotional video have provided a glimpse of what the Kite. We can see the new signature front grille with the 'Humanity Line' flowing into the smoked head-lamps. The character lines on the side give you that Indica vibe but that's about it.

Powering this small hatchback will be a new 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engine that will produce a maximum power output of 64bhp and 140Nm of peak torque. The petrol model, on the other hand, will get the same 1.2-litre Revotron unit that powers the Bolt.
