Tata Kite Hatchback Sketch Revealed; Launch in December
Tata Motors has revealed the sketch of the Kite hatchback. The car will be revealed in December and the launch will follow suit. The Kite along with its compact sedan cousin is set to replace the Indica and the Indigo CS.

The company recently unearthed their brand ambassador as Lionel Messi and now in a promotional video have provided a glimpse of what the Kite. We can see the new signature front grille with the 'Humanity Line' flowing into the smoked head-lamps. The character lines on the side give you that Indica vibe but that's about it.

The rear profile looks completely different and renewed and this shows that Tata has finally moved away from the Indica brand. It is a breath of fresh air not only for Tata Motors but also for the segment. The Kite will be built on the XO platform and the new hatchback is expected to be manufactured at Tata's Sanand, Gujarat-based facility. The car will be launched in December 2015 and we'll have all the details soon.

Powering this small hatchback will be a new 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engine that will produce a maximum power output of 64bhp and 140Nm of peak torque. The petrol model, on the other hand, will get the same 1.2-litre Revotron unit that powers the Bolt.
