Mercedes-Benz India today launched its flagship SUV, GLS, in India at Rs. 80.4 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). Essentially a facelifted version of the GL-Class, the new GLS follows the company's new nomenclature and is touted to be the S-Class of SUVs. As part of Mercedes-Benz India's 12 launches for 2016, Mercedes-Benz GLS will compete with the latest Audi Q7 and Volvo XC-90. As of now the company has only launched the GLS 350d which is already under production at the company's Chakan plan.

Ford India today launched a new 'Black Edition' of its popular sub-compact SUV - EcoSport. Priced from Rs. 8.58 Lakh for the Trend+ variant, the top-of-the-line Titanium+ variant goes up to Rs. 9.93 Lakh (All ex-showroom, Delhi).

It gets the same 1.5-litre diesel mHawk100 engine as in the NuvoSport but it will be available only on the top end variant - T8. What Mahindra has also done, is made the T8 AMT variant available with this engine as well. The more powerful variant of the TUV300 is priced at Rs. 8.87 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai)

Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, the Japanese automaker's 'Adventure Utility Vehicle', has been launched at Rs. 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai).

Lamborghini today launched the new Huracan Spyder in India priced at Rs. 3.89 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Essentially a convertible iteration of the regular Lamborghini Huracan, the Spyder version has always had a special interest among enthusiasts.
