BMW is all set to launch its new flagship SUV- the X7 in India which will be positioned above the X5 in the Bavarian carmaker's line-up. The company has confirmed that the new X7 and X4 will be assembled locally in India at its Chennai manufacturing facility along with other SUVs. BMW has recently listed the X7 on its India website and while we are yet to get the details of the variants that the Bavarian carmaker has considered for the Indian market, it has confirmed the top-of-the-line BMW X7 M50d on its website. However, BMW has not shared any information about the X4 which is scheduled to be launched later in the year.

The new-gen Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is all set to go on sale in India this month, and just weeks before the big launch, the brochure of the car has leaked online. The newly leaked document reveals the engine specifications and other technical details that were so far unknown.

Sweden's Volvo is setting aside 7 billion Swedish crowns ($778 million) to cover costs related to its admission in October that its truck and bus engines could be exceeding limits for nitrogen oxide emissions. The company, which makes trucks, construction equipment and buses, said on Thursday the estimated costs were based on factors including vehicle testing and statistical analysis, and were made in dialogue with relevant authorities.

Samsung Electronics Co. said on Thursday it has clinched a deal with German carmaker Audi AG to supply automotive processors designed for in-vehicle information and entertainment systems. The South Korean chipmaker, which first showcased the automotive chip brand in October 2018, said the Exynos Auto V9 will be utilised for in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) solutions for Audi cars, which deliver various information, as well as entertainment content, Yonhap news agency reported.

BMW Group India has sold 11,105 passenger vehicles including the Mini range in India in 2018 recording a growth of 13 per cent. The group has sold 10,405 units of BMW vehicles witnessing a growth of 11 per cent while 700 units of Mini were sold in the same period recording an impressive growth of 66 per cent.
