Philippines based Meep Inc gets innovative with an electric bike with a bamboo body.

The Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) has officially confirmed Porsche as a Formula E manufacturer starting from next season. Porsche, along with Mercedes-Benz will be the two new manufacturers joining the electric racing series in Season 6, which will commence at the end of 2019.

Panasonic Jaguar Racing is the latest Formula E team to showcase its Season 5 contender and has released the concept livery for the I-TYPE 3 race car. The Gen2 electric racer will be contesting in the 2018-19 FIA Formula E Championship. Apart from Jaguar, the likes of Audi and Nissan also revealed concept liveries for Season 5.

The new company, VanguardSpark is a partnership of Erik Buell and two other companies - Vanguard Motorcycles and Spark Racing Technology.

A new electric model will debut at Auto China 2018 in Beijing and take center stage alongside the new Nissan LEAF and the Nissan IMx KURO electric crossover concept vehicle.

The H500 will showcase technology developed by HK for the drive system, with battery, electric motors, central control unit and range extender.

Mercedes-Benz is looking to launch the S-Class electric by 2022. The car will be built on a new platform and will be launched as under the EQ brand.

BMW announced that in 2018, it targets to sell 1,40,000 EVs and has ambitious plans to take that tally to 5 lakh units in 2019.
