Tesla Inc said on Tuesday it has cut the price of its Model S "Long Range" sedan by 4% in the United States, days after the electric-car maker reported record quarterly deliveries.

German premium automaker Audi AG said on Tuesday it had signed a memorandum of understanding with China's state-owned FAW Group to launch a venture to make premium electric vehicles (EVs).

Ather Energy plans to have 135 fast charging stations operational by December 2020, which includes the 50 stations that are already operational. The Ather Grid fast chargers can juice up the 450X for a range of 15 km in just 10 mins.

South Korea's Hyundai Motor Co started construction on a research and development centre in Singapore on Tuesday that will house a small-scale electric vehicle production facility. Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said the facility may produce up to 30,000 electric vehicles (EVs) annually by 2025 and represents an investment of S$400 million ($295 million).

The Hero Optima HX electric scooter carries a price of Rs. 71,950 but for the festive season, Hero Electric is offering the scooter at a price of Rs. 57,560, which is a discount of Rs. 14,390.
