One cannot forget the year the City first came to India. It was 1998 and it was the third generation of the City that made it here. Believe it or not, the City was first a subcompact car. The popularity of the car in India grew two folds and two generations of the car followed. It was the ideal sedan for the Indian consumer, till petrol prices started hitting the roof and the demand for diesel cars climbed.
