The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has been awarded the NDTV Motorcycle of the Year up to 250cc for 2017. The Apache RTR 200 4V is TVS's flagship motorcycle, launched earlier this year, and available in as many as eight variants (including a carburetted and fuel-injected versions). Both variants have the same 198 cc single-cylinder engine with near identical power figures - around 20bhp power and 18Nm of torque.

The Mustang impressed the CNB Awards Jury at the Buddh International Circuit too. Not only is it a great point and shoot muscle car, the Mustang with its new independent rear suspension also goes around corners well (and sideways) enough to put a large smile on everyone's face. And hence, our jury chose it as the NDTV Performance Car of the Year 2017.

The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro got everything going for it and more which just makes it a great all-round motorcycle - worthy of the Motorcycle of the Year Above 1000cc award.

The Accord was always the bestseller in India till it was discontinued in 2013. The Accord is in its ninth generation and with the hybrid Honda gets to take on the current segment bestseller - Toyota Camry hybrid - effectively. That the new Passat will also come with its plug-in hybrid avatar is also noteworthy. The Accord Hybrid is the NDTV Green Car of the Year.

Launched earlier this year, the new BMW 7 series was crowned the Luxury Car of the Year at the NDTV Car and Bike Awards 2017. The new-gen 7 Series has been one of the most important launches from BMW this year since it plays the roll of a flagship model for the brand. It has improved the levels of luxury, comfort and technical superiority seen since the last 7, taking the model as well as the segment a notch higher.

For being a great package at a competitive price and offering a wide variety of drivetrain options, the Hyundai Tucson is the NDTV Compact SUV/Crossover of the Year 2017.

The NDTV Car And Bike Award for the Full-Size SUV of the Year 2017 went to the new Ford Endeavour. Ford launched the new generation Endeavour at the beginning of this year in a bid to take on the segment leader, the Toyota Fortuner.

The Honda Navi certainly surprised each one of us with its arrival this year and it was really hard to determine if we should call it a scooter or a motorcycle. Well, the jury certainly had a problem then and the Car and Bike Awards 2017 saw the addition of an all-new category - Mini Bike of the Year.
