The 13th edition of India's most credible auto awards had some extremely capable entries and the jury had a tough time selecting the best from the lot. Nevertheless, the results are out and some well-deserved offerings have taken the coveted trophies home. Showcasing its dominance in the scooter segment, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) claimed the 2018 CNB Scooter of the Year Award for the Cliq.

Honda Cliq, the utility scooter from the Japanese manufacturer has recently crossed 10,000 sales mark in India. Honda Two Wheelers has sold over 10,000 units of the Honda Cliq in India in less than 4 months. The scooter is based on the Activa and is aimed at the rural market.

Honda has launched the Cliq in Tamil Nadu. The Honda Cliq Price is Rs. 44,524 (ex-showroom, Chennai). Along with the launch, Honda also announced that it is the biggest two-wheeler seller in Tamil Nadu as well.

The Honda Cliq has been launched in Maharashtra at a price of Rs. 43,073. Maharashtra is the biggest two-wheeler market in India and over 45 per cent of the two-wheelers sold here are scooters. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has a market share of 63 per cent of the scooters sold in Maharashtra.
