XT Long Range(Electric)

Tiago EV - City commute master.

By Dr Sanjay Kumar M D @ Jul 17, 2024 07:13 PM

I own a white colour,Tiago EV. Its a well proportionate, decent looking city car ,well suited to whose who travel 50+ km daily. Fantastic ride and handling, wonderful pick in sport mode ,decent pick-up in D mode. Nice built quality and spot-on ergonomics. Its is very pocket friendly, practical car for daily office commutes and short weekend trips. I recommend this car for every one ,instead of going for petrol cars as it is environmental friendly and hassle free ownership and maintenance .

XZ Plus Long Range(Electric)

Tiago EV ko chalana ek alag hi maza hai and savings on fuel are a huge plus

By Katare Umesh K @ Oct 21, 2024 11:05 AM

The Tiago EV has exceeded my expectations. The range is perfect for city driving, and the car handles really well. The charging infrastructure in my city is growing, so I don’t face any problems with charging. Smooth drive, no vibrations aur noise bhi nahi hai. Charging bhi easily ho jata hai aur daily office ke liye perfect hai. Tata ne price bhi acchi rakhi hai, aise lagta hai sahi investment kiya.

XT Long Range(Electric)

An awesome no-nonsense city car

By Manik Agarwal @ Sep 11, 2024 01:55 PM

Hi, bought LR 2023 in company offer at 9.30 in 2024. Local dealership was ok , got a good price n they even visited home for booking amount . -Awesome city car, smooth drive ,easy maneuvering around corners n potholes, fast pickup . -Slow charging at home(10% takes an hr) using company installed fuse box n portable charger(pic). No cost cutting by company on dat . -Range varies drastically since it takes into account one's recent driving score . I usually get 350 on the display but practical city range without AC comes to 250-270 on a full home charge . With ac it goes 30km less . -I recently even took it out for a 250km highway ride n had to fast charge it at 2 of the stations ( usually 1% /min.) . A very good stable ride , body roll is minimal , straight line ride is handled with ease . Even went through smoothly on submerged roads without any issues !. No steering wheel vibrations till 100km/hr speed. I obtained -250kms both sides with 80% of the drive being without AC!. PROS:- 1) A great city car, easy to turn n maneuver. In jams / ramps on leaving accelerator, it wil glide forward til 5km/hr speed , just use handbrake . 2)If one uses govt.subsidy on solar , charging becomes free too . 3) Haven't seen a petrol pump in months . 4)Fast pick-up , 5)3 regeneration modes. Use 3 in city , n it becomes just a " one - pedal drive" ! . 6) Employ "COASTING" meaning push accelerator in such a way that the car s display shows 0 acceleration n deceleration n let the car glide. AEC improves drastically. Works best with regen 1 on highways . 7) Keep the AEC (~RPM) under 100 n range wil drastically improve . ( Use AC in economy mode @26°C). 8)Tata's mobile app is good to check battery status , charging , geo fencing n weekly/monthly All-India driving scores n ranking . 9) Good legroom n headroom in all seats 10) Boot floor is flat n can keep 2 suitcases . 11) An excellent city car n good for small distances of ~100 kms. Costs max 1-1.5 rupees/km if home charged! As compared to 7-8/km for a petrol! . 12) No visible emissions but yes charging does use electricity that is produced by burning fossils!! 13)Company gives 8 yrs battery warranty meaning they wil replace free of cost any misfiring battery part tip that time . 14) Good sound Harman system . 15) Regeneratiin is good for brakes n also for one' s foot . Though i wish they could give some braking light with it for vehicles behind you !! CONS:-1) one may find workmanship issues with spaces in bonnet n door boundaries that lead to seepage of rain.water 2) Headlights are really poor in throw n focus 3)Since it's an ev , they ask to abstain from any aftermarket electrical work that may hamper warranty. 4)Inside they have used white plastic that gets dirty easily . 5) Gear knobs n other controls are very dimly lit at nite 6) Door pockets are really stingy , only able to hold a 1/2 litre bottle. 7)Charging area tiny door is delicate to work with ! 8)No spare tyre but they do give a tyre puncture repair kit . 9) Poor designing of driver's seat . Get back pain on driving for long . Headrest won't ever touch one's head!! 10) Definite range anxiety if one wishes to travel out . But using apps like plugshare, ionage, jiobp , statiq one can plan the chargers in advance . Yes , tata advertises car only as a city car . 11) Resale value is definitely poor . But EVs r bought for long term prospects! 12) Wonder why navigation can only be used with mobile being wired to system ! 13) While using radio , navigation sound won't come thru speakers!! 14) Central backview mirror is too small . 15) Driver side sideview mirror s field is too small . Though it can be altered from inside but gets jammed multiple times !! 16) App services are only free for 1st year , then 3500/year which is definitely exorbitant! TIPS :- Keep car in shade to keep battery running good . Keep AEC (~RPM ) under 100 to get good range .Be gentle with accelerator n braking . Keep car tidy n less burdened with excess weight . Use regen 3 in city n Accelerator bars in levels 1-2 Charge at home till 100% . Use coasting as mentioned earlier. Happy eving..

Perfect entry-level electric vehicle and Its affordable

By Jadish Dasgupta @ Sep 11, 2024 03:12 PM

The Tata Tiago EV is a perfect entry-level electric vehicle. It’s affordable, compact, and has a decent range for daily city commutes. The battery charges quickly, and I love the smooth driving experience. It’s ideal for someone looking to shift to an electric vehicle without breaking the bank.

XZ Plus Long Range Fast Charger(Electric)

I wish it had a bit more power

By Lalit Seshang @ Sep 16, 2024 12:26 PM

The Tata Tiago EV is a great car, but I feel the range could be better. For city driving, it’s fine, but on highways, I find myself looking for a charging station. The build quality is solid, and the ride comfort is top-notch, but I wish it had a bit more power.

XE Medium Range(Electric)

Good car but not suited for long drives

By Mahesh G @ Oct 04, 2024 11:55 AM

The Tiago EV is a great city car, but it's not suited for long drives. The range is a bit limited, and the charging time can be a hassle on road trips. But for daily commutes, it’s smooth and offers great savings on fuel.

XT Long Range(Electric)

Smooth ride for city commuting

By Kalvikas Kamth @ Sep 25, 2024 01:19 PM

Tata has done a great job with the Tiago EV, but I feel the range could be a bit better for highway use. It’s a smooth ride for city commuting, and I love the savings on fuel, but it’s not ideal for longer road trips.
