Kawasaki and Bajaj have decided to amicably end their eight-year long alliance to provide sales and after sales to Kawasaki bikes in India from 1 April 2017. With effect from that date, Kawasaki motorcycles will be sold and after sales service, including that for past customers, will be provided by India Kawasaki Motors Pvt Ltd

Triumph Motorcycles is recalling a limited number of bikes in the Bonneville range for what the company calls "preventive part replacement". Triumph authorised service centres are reaching out to customers and replacing the faulty part which could potentially malfunction, CarandBike.com has learnt. The replacement will be carried out free of charge, and only certain motorcycles are affected which have been identified.

An almost production-ready version of the new Royal Enfield 750 cc twin-cylinder motorcycle has now been spotted testing in the UK, just days after the new 750 cc parallel-twin Royal Enfield was spotted testing in India. Although there are no new pictures of the new bike, MCN reports that a finished version of the new Royal Enfield model - to be called the Continental GT750 - was spotted testing in the UK. The bike was spotted testing in Spain last year and is expected to be launched within the next few months.

Milan-based start-up, Italian Volt has introduced its first electric motorcycle - the Lacama. Italian Volt was set up by three partners, out of which two - Nicola Colombo and Valerio Fumagalli - hold a Guinness Record for the longest distance travelled on an electric motorcycle. In 2013, the duo travelled 12,379 km from Shanghai, China to Milan in 44 days, purely on electric power.

The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer is all set to introduce an all-new Suzuki GSX-R750, possibly as a late 2018 or 2019 model, according to reports. It's not clear yet whether Suzuki will be launching the GSX-R750 in India, mostly because the Indian superbike crowd leans heavily towards the litre-class models, more than the middleweights.

Motorcycles costing Rs 1 lakh or more may be levied a 6 per cent additional motor vehicle tax in Karnataka, if a budget proposal presented in the state assembly is passed. The tax slab for bikes falling in this bracket (costing Rs 1 lakh or more) is to be raised from the existing 12 per cent to 18 per cent, according to the proposal.
