TVS Motor Company Registers 10 Per Cent Growth In May 2018
TVS Motor Company registered sales of 309,865 units in May 2018, growing by 10 per cent ovr 282,007 units sold in May last year. The Hosur-based manufacturer saw a strong rise in sales for both motorcycles and scooters last month, with the two-wheeler segment registering a growth of 8.2 per cent with 298,135 units sold, as opposed to 275,426 units. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 2.4 per cent from 240,527 units in May 2017, to 246,231 units in May 2018.
Royal Enfield Posts 23 Per Cent Growth In May 2018

Retaining its double-digit growth in overall volumes, Royal Enfield sold a total of 74,697 units in May 2018, growing by 23 per cent over 60,696 motorcycles sold during the same period last year. The Chennai-based bike maker's domestic sales stood at 72,510 units last month, which grew by 24 per cent, as opposed to 58,647 bikes sold during May 2017.

Maruti Suzuki Sales Up By 26 Per Cent In May 2018

India's largest automaker, Maruti Suzuki is showing no signs of slowing down. With over 50 per cent market share in India today, the automaker has showcased a huge improvement in sales in May 2018 as compared to the same month last year. Overall sales are up by 26 per cent as compared to the same time period last year with domestic sales up by 24.9 per cent and exports up by a whopping 48.1 per cent. The big growth was led by the compact segment which includes the likes of the Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, Dzire and the recently launched Swift. The segment was up by 50.8 per cent with sales figures of 77.263 units as compared to May 2017! The surge is being led of course by the thee hot sellers, the new Swift, the Dzire and the Baleno.
