TVS Motor Company has announced monthly sales figures for December 2021. The company reported overall sales of 250,933 units in December 2021, a decline of 7.7 per cent against 272,084 units in the corresponding month last year. Last month, TVS' overall two-wheelers sales stood at 235,392 units as against 258,239 units in December 2020, down by 8.8 per cent. Domestic market two-wheeler sales reduced by 17 per cent, from 146,763 units in December 2021 to 176,912 units in December 2020.

TVS reported sales of 133,700 motorcycles in December 2021

Motorcycle sales of TVS accounted for 133,700 units in December 2021 as against 119,051 units sold in December 2020, recording 12 per cent growth year-on-year. Scooter sales registered 67,553 units last month against 77,705 units sold in December 2020. Two-wheeler exports registered a 9 per cent growth with sales of 88,629 units in December 2021 as against sales of 81,327 units in the same month last year.

TVS Motor Company's total exports registered a growth of 10 per cent with sales of 103,420 units in December 2021 as against 94269 units in December 2020. The company's three-wheeler sales grew by 12 per cent, with 15,541 units in December 2021 compared to 13,845 units in December 2020.

Scooter sales for TVS stood at 67,553 units in December 2021

During the third quarter of the current financial year, two-wheelers posted sales of 8.3 lakh units as against sales of 9.5 lakh units in the third quarter of the previous year. Sales of three-wheeler grew by 17 per cent from 0.38 lakh units in the third quarter of the previous year to 0.44 lakh units in the same period. The company's total exports grew by 13 per cent from 2.6 lakh units in the third quarter of the previous year to 2.9 lakh units in the third quarter of the current financial year
