TVS has always been the one for keeping an eye out for its customers. The Hosur based manufacturer has recently announced its 24/7 Roadside Assistance Program for all of its two-wheeler models. Initially, the program has been launched in 70 cities across the country and TVS says that it will expand to over 200 cities before the month of October ends.
The idea behind the initiative is to resolve on-road and sudden problems faced by customers and TVS will be doing so through a 24/7 helpline number and personal assistance as well. Presently, the services include fuel delivery, spare-key pick-up, any repairs that need to be carried out onsite. In cases of complete breakdown, the company will also be providing customers with cabs as well. Should an accident occur, there will be assistance for that as well, along with towing services and so on.
TVS believes that all of its 28 million customers will be benefitted from this programme as it is free of cost and can be availed via the 24/7 helpline or a smartphone app as well. TVS says that it has already received appreciation and positive response from a few of its customers.
JS Srinivasan - vice president, sales & service, TVS Motor Company, says, "As a Company, we constantly strive to meet the evolving needs of the two-wheeler customer with our products and also boost their overall ownership experience. With more than 3,500 dealer touch points, we are confident of extending a 24/7 Road Side Assistance Program, which will cater to the consumer's immediate requirements and also help them overcome any issue on the road."
TVS says that its RSA (Road Side Assistance) program will be applicable on all TVS motorcycles and scooters, be it old or new, without any charges whatsoever. TVS will be rolling out this program throughout the country by March 2017.
The other mass market two-wheeler manufacturers to offer such a program are Honda Two Wheelers and Royal Enfield. Honda Two Wheelers offers these services under the 'Honda Shield' program, wherein the customers can avail of 24/7 roadside assistance by paying additional charges along with the warranty charges. The RSA services from Honda Two Wheelers include puncture and mechanical repairs, fuel delivery, on-phone assistance and so on.
Royal Enfield too, offers a bouquet of services when it comes to roadside assistance such as on-site repairs, flat tyre repairs, fuel delivery, vehicle breakdown assistance and even medical referral, which can be quite helpful when riding in inhospitable conditions and remote locations. A Royal Enfield customer will have to get himself/herself registered for the roadside assistance program by paying a certain amount.
