The Tokyo Motor Show is flooded with concepts and new launches right now and there is so much more to keep a tab on from the last major auto event globally for this year. Japanese auto giant Honda has an illustrious line-up and catching everyone's attention is the new Neo Sports Cafe Racer concept that has just made its debut at the annual auto event. The company says the Neo Sports Cafe Racer concept explores the next generation naked sports bike for the company. While Honda hasn't spoken of the production version yet, there is a possibility that the concept could point on at a CB1000 based cafe-racer of the future.

Honda says the Neo Sports Cafe Concept is a sports bike for the mature rider with many years of experience with sports bikes. Honda further says the engine, suspension and compact proportions point towards a smooth ride, while the design language is that of an elegant naked sports bike. The concept certainly looks stunning and can also be called as evolutionary over the CB4 concept that was showcased at EICMA in 2015. The bulbous red fuel tank with the floating seat makes an imposing impression, while the beefy forks, aggressive set handlebar and the chrome finished tail pipes from the four-mill engine are just absolutely stunning to look at.

The design language on the Honda Neo Sports Cafe Racer is a major departure from the usual offerings from the bike maker, while we do influences from the Confederate Helicat and even the new-age Husqvarna models somewhere in the design. As Honda describes it, the concept "appeals to the mature rider with its pursuit of the fundamental joy and beauty of riding - looks and riding pleasure."

The Honda Neo Sports Cafe Racer concept is one of the highlights at the Tokyo Motor Show this year amidst a ton of other models on display. It isn't clear yet if the Neo Concept will make it to production, but if it does, and we certainly hope so, it will be competing against the likes of the Triumph Thruxton and the BMW R nine T. The NSC Racer will be in attendance at EICMA next month and we expect to learn more about the concept then.
