The Honda CB 350 RS works because it isn’t trying to be the fastest or the most aggressive vehicle in its segment. This is a motorcycle built for riders who want style, ease and everyday usability, wrapped in a premium, modern-retro package. You hop on, settle into that comfortable posture, and instantly feel at home. Whether you're weaving through city traffic or stretching it out on a relaxed highway run, it just feels easy and natural to ride.
As Kingshuk Dutta puts it, “It is a really good-looking motorcycle, and Honda has clearly focused on making it appealing to younger riders.”
This isn’t for thrill-chasers looking for explosive performance. The bike is best for riders who value refinement, comfort and road presence. Honda’s intent is clear: this is a lifestyle roadster done right.

Expert Context
Kingshuk Dutta brings over 10 years of riding experience to this Honda CB 350 RS Expert review. He has covered hundreds of kilometres across cities, highways and demanding terrain. That depth shows in how we approached this test. He uncovers how the motorbike fits into daily riding life. It isn't all just about numbers.
The test wasn’t limited to one condition. We started in dense city traffic. Here, balance and throttle control were most important. From there, we opened it up on highways to test cruising comfort and stability. The route then moved into twisty sections to check agility. Lastly, the downhill braking section helped evaluate control under pressure.
You can explore more of his riding insights through his detailed work on car&bike, where experience meets real-world testing.
At its core, the Honda CB 350 RS is powered by a 348.36 cc single-cylinder engine. This produces 20.78 bhp and 30 Nm. It is paired with a smooth five-speed gearbox. Built on a half-duplex cradle frame, the blends stability with everyday usability. This makes it easy to understand, whether you're new to riding or moving up to a high-end bike.
With the Honda CB 350 RS facelift, the focus has stayed on refining what already works. We have clean styling, improved feature integration and a more youthful visual identity. The Honda CB 350 RS 2025 retains the mechanics while sharpening its appeal with colours and subtle updates.

This isn’t a traditional retro motorcycle. It’s a modern vehicle with just enough classic influence to stand out. As Kingshuk Dutta says, “The motorcycle definitely grabs attention on the road with its clean yet muscular styling.”
For people who want a balance of style, comfort and refinement, this bike feels like a thoughtful choice. It is modern where it matters and timeless where it counts.

Variants
When you look at the Honda CB 350 RS lineup, the choice is straightforward. There are no mechanical differences between variants, so performance, ride quality and core riding experience remain identical. What changes is the level of connectivity, features and visual detailing.

Honda CB 350 RS Base Variant - DLX
- Same 348.36 cc engine and chassis setup
- Dual-channel ABS and traction control
- Semi-digital instrument cluster
- No Bluetooth connectivity
- Simpler colour schemes
This variant is ideal if you prefer a clean, distraction-free riding experience. It gives you everything that matters from a riding perspective without adding extra electronics. For riders who value simplicity and classicride appeal, this is more than sufficient.
Honda CB 350 RS Top Variant – DLX Pro
- Honda Smartphone Voice Control system (HSVCS)
- Bluetooth connectivity with call/SMS alerts and navigation assist
- Additional instrument console functionality
- More vibrant, dual-tone colour options
This version feels more modern and better suited to everyday usage, especially if you rely on navigation or connected features during your rides. The extra tech doesn't change how the bike rides, but it does make it easier to use and more enjoyable to own.

Which one should you choose?
If your focus is purely on riding feel and simplicity, the DLX does the job perfectly. The DLX Pro makes more sense, though, if you want a motorcycle that has more features and is more connected without changing its core character.
Pros
- Smooth, refined engine performance
- Comfortable everyday riding posture
- Strong, clean road presence
- Easy city rideability
- Reliable Honda service network
Cons
- Lacks sporty top-end punch
- Slightly premium pricing
- Basic console compared to rivals
- Not ideal for aggressive riding
- Limited pillion touring comfort
Verdict
The Honda CB 350 RS is exactly what it wants to be. It doesn’t try to be anything else. This is a motorcycle built for young riders and lifestyle enthusiasts. It’s best suited for riders who value smooth performance, clean styling and everyday usability over outright speed. It’s easy to ride, easy to live with, and still manages to feel special every time you get on it.
As Kingshuk Dutta says, “The engine delivers smooth power and feels refined during regular riding.” And that sums it up perfectly. It’s not trying to be the fastest. It’s trying to be the one you enjoy riding every single day, and it succeeds.

- Looks good.. Fat tyres..3.0CB 350 RSLooks good.. Smooth engine. Fat tyres.. Nice rumble.. However, seat height is still on the higher side. 800 mm seat height is too high for short riders. If you are below 5ft 8 inches, then it would be bit high for you. Also, they are still using single cradle chassis in the lower segment Honda bikes. They should change to twin cradle chassis. Even a 150 cc CB Hornet comes with upside down forks, but they did not give that in this 350 cc bike..By SandeepPosted on: Feb 17, 2021 02:10 PM3930
- Good Street Bike with unique characteristics5.0STD(Petrol)I have the red color version. The bike feels smooth when riding on lower powerbands. Although, the torque is missing on lower revs which indirectly demands more gear shifts to keep the RPM at mid for optimum power delivery. Smooth clutch and good gear box makes the shifting smooth even though I have experienced few false neutrals even after the first service. Enough torque is available at mid power band or RPM which entirely changes the feel of the bike. You can ride it either way. If you are concerned about mileage and likes a slow, steady rides with minimal overtakes, you can ride it at the lower RPM which gives nice bassy sound. Or you can ride it aggressively on mid-high RPM and the bike response pretty good at that range. It takes a bit of time to getting used to the dynamics of the bike. Once you do, you will get it. Look wise, I am a sucker for neo retro looks so I love the way honda designed it compared to h'ness.By ShivaPosted on: Sep 12, 2021 01:53 AM90
- Good Bike4.0STD(Petrol)I am female, 5'5" and 60kgs and new rider, this being my first bike, and I can tell you the seat height and weight is not an issue with riding the bike. It's quite comfortable although due to sporty style, the riding posture takes some getting used to. The only noticable drawback is the front fender size. It's too small to protect the rider or the bike from mud, even on regular roads. Aftermarket manufacturers are now coming up RS specific fender extender, so that's helpful. USB charger is terribly missed on long rides. Otherwise it seems great to ride. Haven't yet taken on long off road experience, but it was able to handle small off road experiences well.By ShaliniPosted on: Sep 05, 2021 01:49 PM52
