The Coronavirus pandemic is yet to subside but sales are slowly starting to pick up. Hero MotoCorp despatched 450,744 units in June 2020, which is a growth of 300 per cent from 112,682 units despatched in May 2020.

Mahindra's total sales stood at 19,358 units in June 2020, as compared to 9,560 units sold in May this year, as the company recovers from the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.

MG Motor India sold 1,867 units of the Hector and 145 units of the ZS EV in June 2020. Both models performed substantially better compared to sales in May this year.

Maruti Suzuki India has released its monthly sales number for June 2020, and last month the company's total sales stood at 57,428 units. As compared to the 18,539 units sold in May 2020, Maruti Suzuki saw a Month-on-Month (M-o-M) growth of over 200 per cent.

The company is looking to introduce new vehicles to the market as well and we expect it to launch a new car ahead of the festive season.

In May 2020, the Hyundai Venue completed one year in the Indian market, and so far, the company has sold over one lakh units of the subcompact SUV. Out of the Venue's total sales, over 97,400 units were sold in India, while more than 7,400 units have been exported to other markets.

Home-grown commercial vehicle manufacturer, Ashok Leyland, has reported a loss of Rs. 57 crore in the last quarter of Financial Year 2019-20. In comparison, the company posted a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 653 crore during the same period last fiscal year.

The shutdown of plants and auto dealers hit the U.S. auto sector hard in April and May, but assembly plants reopened starting May 18 and have since boosted production while sales have rebounded as states reopen economies.
