Highlights

- It's likely to take design inspiration from the Concept XM.
- It is expected to make global debut in the last quarter of 2023.
Rolls-Royce going all-electric might still be few years away but that journey has already started. Well we finally have the sight of the upcoming Rolls-Royce Spectre Coupe and it looks like that the Goodwood based luxury brand will continue to amaze us even with its future models. The Rolls-Royce Spectre Coupe is the brand's first electric model that's likely to roll out in late 2023 and for the first-time images of a test mule have surfaced online. Like typical prototypes, the test car is completely camouflaged concealing the design of this new upcoming coupe. That said, few updates are still quite apparent.

For starters, the split headlight setup. Yes! How surprising Rolls-Royce following suite is! The front end gets the split headlight treatment with the main unit positioned slightly below and the LED daytime running light (DRL) eyebrows up top. The rear-hinged suicide doors borrowed from the Wraith have been retained and while design inspiration has been taken from the Wraith, this one looks very distinct. The Rolls-Royce Spectre has a more pronounced silhouette courtesy sharp tapering coupe roofline making the quarter glass look tiny. In fact, you see subtle resemblance of the Concept XM in this design and that is a strong hint for future BMW flagship models like the 7 Series sedan and X7 SUV too getting the same treatment.

Now what you folks might still find a bit awkward are those bulky overhangs. Well! We already know that the Rolls-Royce Spectre won't be spawned on a dedicated EV platform as that is still sometime away. Like the BMW i7 electric sedan, even this will be based on the CLAR platform that can incorporate EV powertrain as well, but was originally designed for conventional combustion powered models.
