Porsche has been testing its next-generation Macan which will be an EV and now it has been spotted at the Nürburgring. The car is expected to be unveiled by the end of the year and available publicly next year. In the shots, it is heavily camouflaged. The Macan EV has tape on the bottom of the splitter and there is also a fake grille above the license plate. There are also stickers around the headlights which is an attempt to conceal the shape of the lamps. Porsche even covers up the company logo. There are even slats on the lower side of the front end for cooling the electric motors.

Porsche has even covered the C-Pillar to hide the shape of the car and the wheels have five, thick spokes and a black finish. The Macan EV also has a panel covering up the rear section of the car between the hatchback window and the bumper. Despite it being an EV, Porsche has added a faux exhaust, to hide the fact that it is an electric Macan.

There are shots of the interior as well with it having a digital instrument cluster, and it has three circular gauges. It also has a wide aspect ratio for the infotainment screen which is a departure from what is there on the Taycan. The HVAC controls are on the base of the console much like the Taycan.

It will use the PPE platform that Volkswagen has developed for electric models from Audi, Porsche, and Lamborghini in the distant future. It will likely have 350 kW fast charging capabilities and will be offered in a single motor option with rear-wheel drive and a dual motor option with all-wheel drive.
