Mahindra Racing has announced entering a strategic partnership with Pininfarina and Tech Mahindra. The partnership will offer the Formula E team to enhance the performance of its M5Electro race car for the upcoming season and also use race track experience in the development of new electric road vehicles.

The Indian teams at Dakar 2018 Sherco TVS and Hero MotoSports put up a brilliant effort to bring its bikes home in the final stage of the rally with Hero's Oriol Mena making his debut in the race this year while CS Santosh participated it for the fourth year. The solo rider from Sherco TVS, Joan Pedrero finished 11th overall, a career best finish.

The penultimate stage of the 2018 Dakar rally saw the Indian contingents secure impressive results. Hero's CS Santosh completed the stage in 33rd position while Sherco TVS rider Joan Pedrero secured his rally best finishing in 5th place.

French auto major, Renault has announced that it will be showcasing a range of products at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo. The car maker plans to showcase electric vehicles, concept cars and a Formula 1 at its pavilion, in addition to its existing range of mass market offerings. With the newfound push towards electric mobility in the country, the car maker is looking to showcase its talent in the field from its global line-up.

Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team's W09 F1 car will be unveiled at the Silverstone Circuit and this will be followed by an initial shakedown.

Stage 11 of the 2018 Dakar rally was the second marathon stage of this season and saw participants ride from Belen to Fiambala, with a 205 km liaison and a timed section of 280 km. The Indian contingent performed extremely well in this stage with Hero Motorsports riders Oriol Mena and CS Santosh posting impressive results. Mena finished in a career best 10th place, while Santosh progressed to finish 35th overall.

Stage 10 saw Santosh put up good pace through the 2018 Dakar rally. However, the 34-year-old suffered a crash in the second half the stage, but quick intervention from the team ensured that Santosh was back on track. The Indian rider completed the stage with the 44th fastest time, while finishing 40th overall.

Ending weeks of speculations, the Williams F1 Team have now confirmed that Russan racer Sergey Sirotkin will be stepping into the second F1 car for the 2018 Formula 1 season. The 22-year-old replaces the legendary Felipe Massa, who retired from the sport at the end of the 2017 season and will be seen racing alongside teammate
