Yet again, an image leak has played foul with GM's plan for the 2014 Geneva Motorshow. The leaked image has fully revealed the Opel Astra OPC EXTREME concept, a hot hatch, that will make its debut at the Motorshow.
We saw the Astra OPC Xtreme at the Geneva Motorshow in 2001 and this one is most likely the follow-up version. Based on the regular-production Astra OPC, this Xtreme car will be lighter because of the extensive use of carbon fiber on the roof panels, both front and rear bumpers and the roof-mounted spoiler.
The specifications elude us for the time being but we expect it to get a 2.0-litre, 4 cylider engine good enough for 280bhp. Even the details of the interiors are not out yet but Opel promises the Xtreme will come with sport seats with six-point harnesses and an integrated roll cage.
We will get you more details, as they come, so stay tuned!
