MG Motor UK has announced the pricing and availability on the ZS Electric SUV that goes on sale in September this year. The MG ZS EV, as it will be called in the UK, is priced from 21,495 Pounds, going up to 23,495 Pounds (around Rs. 18.36-20.07 lakh), after the 3500 Pound government grant and the company's initial discount. It will be the brand's first electric vehicle in the UK. The new electric offering is a five-seater SUV based on the standard ICE versions and offers a full-sized boot in its EV guise making it a practical offering. The MG eZS, as it will be badged in India, has been confirmed as the automaker's next offering after the Hector and is scheduled for a commercial launch in December 2019. The eZS will lock horns against the recently launched Hyundai Kona Electric.

American electric automaker Tesla's most affordable offering, the Model 3 has been awarded five stars in the latest round of the Euro New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) crash tests. The electric vehicle scored a good 96 per cent in adult occupant protection and 86 per cent for child occupant protection. The Tesla Model 3 also scored 94 per cent for its range of safety assist systems, which is the highest safety assist score awarded to any new vehicle in 2018-19 protocols by the Euro NCAP.

Vergne finished seventh in the second race of the New York e-Prix, securing crucial points as championship contenders Mitch Evans of Jaguar Racing and Lucas di Grassi of Audi Sport crashed on the final lap. It was Envision Racing's Robin Frijns who took a win in the season finale, while Vergne needed to take a points-finish to defend the title.
