BMW has unveiled what it calls an advanced prototype of the HP4 Race at the EICMA show in Milan, with carbon fibre twin-spar frame and wheels. Based on the S 1000 RR, BMW plans to make the HP4 Race a production model, with an expected launch date sometime in late 2017.

Having leaked online a few days ago, Ducati Motor's maniacal new superbike - the 1299 Superleggera - has officially made its debut at EICMA this year. Making the model very special is the fact that the new 1299 Superleggera is the lighest mass produced bike with the most powerful twin-cylinder engine powering the rear wheel.

The flavour of the season is small capacity ADV at the on-going EICMA 2016 Motorcycle Show. First, the BMW G 310 GS, then the Suzuki DL250 V-Strom and now the Kawasaki Versys-X 300! It was not a far-fetched idea too. Kawasaki always had the 296cc parallel-twin that is in use in the Ninja 300 and the and the only challenge was to scale down the bigger Versys models. Needless to say, Kawasaki aced that challenge with all-new bodywork and chassis. The baby Versys will get 41mm long travel forks up front and a Uni-Trak gas-charged monoshock at the rear.

Yamaha has released images and some additional info about its T7 Concept bike - an idea of the ultimate off-road capable adventure bike which takes a page or few out of actual rally bikes. The result is an adventure, rally-ready concept which could well be one of the most eyeball grabbing bikes of the EICMA motorcycle show.
