MG Motor India today announced that pre-bookings for the Hector SUV will start from June 2019. But the car is all set to hit all of the company dealerships in the next couple of weeks so that consumers can take a look at the car and then, of course, come to a decision. MG already has 120 dealerships across 50 cities in the country and it plans to scale it up to 250 outlets by the end of September this year.ame

We are well aware that Kia Motors will foray into our market with a compact SUV which will be based on the SP Concept it showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Korean carmaker is now gearing up to launch its first product in the second half of this year and is all set to build up some hype about it. Adding to the anticipations, the company has released the official sketches of its upcoming compact SUV and we'll have to admit that it looks downright stunning.

The Defender has been a long-standing productin Land Rover's line-up and the British carmaker is gearing up to introduce a brand-new model. The Indian auto market is set to see a major transition in about a year. Automakers are gearing up to adhere to the upcoming BS6 and crash test norms. Global carmakers who already sell Euro 6 cars in the foreign markets are ready with the technology but Indian carmakers are yet to introduce BS6 complaint models and preparations are in full swing. Pulling off a surprise, Skoda may also introduce the Superb Facelift with a new plug-in hybrid powertrain which was expected in the next-generation model. For the first time in the history, Skoda will be offering a hybrid model and we are expecting it to borrow the powertrain from the Volkswagen Passat GTE. The same 1.4-litre, turbocharged TFSI petrol motor which powers the Audi A4 is expected to be coupled with an electric motor in the upcoming Skoda Superb. We have seen the same powertrain earlier at the 2016 Auto Expo in the Volkswagen Passat GTE plug-in-hybrid variant in which it develops 212 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. The 2020 Skoda Superb is likely to get it in the same state of tune.

The Mahindra Scorpio is one of the longest running success stories from the manufacturer and continues to be a strong seller despite the popularity of compact SUVs. Currently in its third generation, Mahindra & Mahindra is developing the next generation version of the Scorpio and the SUV was spotted testing for the first time in a completely camouflaged avatar. Internally codenamed Z101, the test mule was spotted on Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu and promises a bulk of changes on the new generation Scorpio in design and mechanicals.

The soon-to-be-launched Toyota Glanza has recently been spotted again and this time around we get to see the car's cabin as well. Similar to the new Toyota Glanza's exterior, the cabin too is largely identical to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno's cabin, save for the Toyota badge on the steering wheel.
